A - Yes, the PMCS AFP solution is fully customizable.
Q - Is there a claim dollar minimum or maximum?
A - Most of our clients utilize a minimum $100 benefit payment amount threshold with no maximum threshold.
Q - Does PMCS obtain signed agreements from the providers?
A - Yes, all PMCS negotiated claims and continuous discount agreements are supported by a signed agreement with the provider.
Q - What is PMCS’ average provider discount?
A - PMCS’ average provider discount is 20.5% below the allowed amount as determined by the payer.
Q - How does PMCS make money?
A - PMCS participates in a portion of the provider discount. The difference between the amount PMCS advance funds to the provider and the amount received from the payer is PMCS’ fee for settlement.
Q - How do we handle our 1099 forms?
A - There are no changes in your 1099 procedures. All payments mailed to PMCS are made payable to the medical provider who in turn has assigned their receivable to PMCS. The difference between the amount paid by the payer and the amount PMCS pays the provider is the Providers cost associated with receiving our advance funded payment. This cost is fully tax deductible for income tax purposes.
Q - Does handling overpayment recovery also include managing all appeals?
A - Yes, PMCS’ Provider Relations department directly handles all provider “inquiries”.
