Prior to joining PMCS in 2005, Mr. Harmsen was Principal Financial Officer of Rural/Metro Corporation—one of the largest publicly traded, private providers of emergency medical services in the United States with operations in 26 states, over 10,000 employees, and $500 million in revenues. He served as Chief Financial Officer of several hospital systems, including: St. Luke’s Hospital in Davenport, Iowa; Presbyterian Healthcare in Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Carondelet Healthcare Corporation in Tucson, Arizona. He also worked on the payer side of the industry as CFO for Health Partners of Arizona, and as Vice President of Network Management for United Healthcare of Arizona. Before entering the healthcare field, Mr. Harmsen worked in public accounting for a regional firm in Iowa, where he gained his CPA certification.

As CFO of PMCS, Mr. Harmsen is directly responsible for financial reporting, general accounting, budgeting, and treasury management. Mr. Harmsen received his Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University.
